Crochet, macramé & embroidery — Holiday Workshop Series
Sunday, Nov 8 | Round 1: 2:00–3:30pm · Round 2: 3:30–5:00pm | $45 per craft
Spend a slow Sunday afternoon with yarn, cord and thread. Choose a table, settle in with a small group and an instructor who walks you through every step, and go home with a handmade fall piece you'll want to keep out all season, or wrap up for someone else.
Choose your craft:
Crochet: Mini pumpkin bag charm, with Chichi. A plump little pumpkin to clip onto a bag, keychain or basket. You'll learn the basic stitches that come up in almost every crochet project.
Macramé: Mini wall hanging, with Elizabeth. Knot cream cotton cord onto a wooden dowel to make a diamond design centered on a wood bead. Rust spiral columns frame it, and it finishes in a clean V-shaped fringe.
Embroidery: Fall botanical hoop, with Annika. Choose your design: Fall Botanicals, a sampler of autumn sprigs and wildflowers in sage, rust and gold, or Flowers Bouquet, a dried-flower bouquet tied with a bow in terracotta, blush and gold. Both are original patterns by Yulia of MatryoshkaDollShop. You’ll stitch onto linen in a wood hoop, learning stem stitch, leaf stitches and French knots along the way. You’ll learn every stitch in class and get a good start, then go home with your pre-printed design, sorted thread and a stitch guide to finish at your own pace.
How it works: Choose your round and craft when you register. Each round is 90 minutes and starts together with step-by-step instruction. Stay for both rounds to make two pieces.
